We conduct research on a wide range of issues related to Conflict of Laws (Private International Law).

Our work focuses on the impact of various forms of state intervention on the cross-border activities of private actors. This includes studies on the international aspects of nationalization and expropriation measures, asset-freezing measures, state immunity, intellectual property rights, and taxation.

In recent years, we have also become increasingly interested in the relationship and coordination between privately created normative orders and state legal orders. Our current projects explore emerging issues such as the legal order of sports, international arbitration, and the formation of non-state norms, including standards and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
