名大LinkT Project ― 着てつながる、名大の輪

Meidai LinkT Project — Connecting Through Wearables, Building the Nagoya University Circle

名古屋大学の6学部に渡る学生15名が主体となって、「名大への誇りや思い出を日常で纏えるTシャツ」を企画・制作するプロジェクトです。このTシャツを通じて、在学生・留学生・卒業生・教職員・地域の方々など、名大に関わる人々のつながりを広げ、名大への愛着を育みながら、大学ブランドの醸成を目指しています。

This is a project where 15 students from 6 faculties at Nagoya University are taking the lead in planning and producing a T-shirt that allows people to "wear their pride and memories of Meidai (Nagoya University) in their daily lives." Through this T-shirt, the project aims to expand connections among people involved with Meidai, including current students, international students, alumni, faculty and staff, and local residents, while fostering affection for Meidai and building the university's brand.

どうして、現役大学生の私たちがTシャツ作りに取り組むのか？

私たちは、2025年3月にシンガポールでの研修に参加した名古屋大学の現役学生で構成されたチームです。その研修の中で訪れたNUS（シンガポール国立大学）で、私たちはある光景に心を動かされました。

お土産屋で販売されていたNUSのロゴ入りTシャツ（約3,000円）を、参加メンバーの何人かが嬉しそうに購入し、研修中も誇らしげに身にまとっていたのです。また、NUSのキャンパス内では、学生たちが日常的に大学のTシャツを着ている様子も目にしました。それは、「大学への誇りが自然と日常に溶け込んでいる姿」でした。

一方、名古屋大学ではどうでしょうか？

現在も公式にTシャツは販売されていますが、普段着として名大Tシャツを着ている人を見かける機会はほとんどありません。価格も1320円とリーズナブルであるにもかかわらずです。

その理由は、「デザインが少ないから」「あまり知られていないから」だけではないと、私たちは感じました。もっと根本的な課題――それは、「ブランド意識」です。

もちろん、名古屋大学は素晴らしい教育・研究機関です。教職員の方々も学生の挑戦を温かく支えてくれます。でも、「自分の大学に心から誇りを持てている」と胸を張って言える学生は、どれだけいるでしょうか？

私たちは、名古屋大学のことをもっと好きになりたいし、誇りを持ちたい。そして、「名大っていいよね」と思えるきっかけを、自分たちで生み出してみたいと思っています。それが、現役大学生である私たちがTシャツづくりに挑戦する理由です。

このTシャツは、ただのファッションアイテムではありません。名大生の誇りを“可視化”する象徴であり、大学と学生をつなぐ新しい架け橋になると信じています。そしてその誇りは、きっと卒業後も色あせることはありません。何年経っても同窓会で大学時代を語り合い、「やっぱり、あの大学に通えてよかったな」 ―そう思える人を、私たちの手で増やしていきたいのです。

名古屋大学の学生が自ら愛校心を形にしようと奮闘する姿に接し、大変嬉しく思うとともに、大きな期待を感じています。本学の学生・卒業生・教職員が喜びと誇りを持って日々着用できるTシャツを作ることは、高い価値を持つものです。この活動自体と出来上がったTシャツが、名古屋大学への帰属意識を高め、母校への思いを醸成してくれることを願っています。Tシャツ作りをしている学生たちへの応援よろしくお願いします。

Why are we, current university students, embarking on making T-shirts?

We are a team of current students from Nagoya University who participated in The Nagoya University Special training Program in Singapore (Spring) in March 2025. During our visit to NUS (National University of Singapore) as part of this program, we were deeply moved by a particular scene.

Several of our members happily purchased NUS logo T-shirts (costing about 3,000 yen) at the souvenir shop and proudly wore them throughout the training. Also, on the NUS campus, we often saw students casually wearing university T-shirts in their daily lives. It was a sight that conveyed "a sense of pride in their university naturally integrated into their daily routines."

On the other hand, what about Nagoya University?

Official T-shirts are still sold currently, but we rarely see students wearing them as everyday clothes, even though the price is reasonable at 1320 yen.

We felt that the reasons for this go beyond just a "lack of design" or "lack of awareness." There's a more fundamental issue—the "brand awareness."

Of course, Nagoya University is a wonderful educational and research institution. The faculty and staff warmly support the challenges of the students. However, how many students can proudly say, "I am truly proud of my university"?

We want to love Nagoya University more and feel proud of it. And we want to create an opportunity for ourselves and others to think, "Meidai is great!" That is why we, as current university students, are taking on the challenge of making T-shirts.

These T-shirts are not just fashion items. We believe they will become a symbol that "visualizes" the pride of Nagoya University students and a new bridge connecting the university and its students. And that pride will surely not fade even after graduation. Years later, at alumni gatherings, we want to increase the number of people who can reminisce about their university days and think, "I'm so glad I went to that university."

産学連携で進む、“サステナブルな大学Tシャツ”への挑戦

こんにちは！Meidai LinkT Projectの中村です。
10月23日（木）、私たちのTシャツ製作で協力いただいているタキヒヨー株式会社の東京総合展示会に参加し、Sustainabilityセクションにて、LinkT ProjectのTシャツが展示されました！

名古屋に本社を置く歴史ある繊維商社で、生地の開発からアパレル製品の企画・生産・販売までを手がける企業です。

名大ホームカミングデーで伝えた、“つながり”と“誇り”のかたち

こんにちは！Meidai LinkT Projectメンバーの小松美子です。
10月18日（土）、名古屋大学にて開催された「ホームカミングデー」にて、私たちはTシャツプロジェクトの紹介・PR活動を行いました！
🏫 ホームカミングデーとは？
卒業生がキャンパスに集い、ランチ会やトークイベント、コンサートなどを通じて再会と交流を楽しむ、年に一度の特別なイベントです。
当日は豊田講堂を中心に、学び舎全体が温かな雰囲気に包まれていました。
👕 私たちの活動
私たちは駅前でTシャツを掲げながら、道ゆく卒業生や在学生の方々にプロジェクトを紹介しました。
「学生が自分たちで企画していてすごいね！」
「名大にこんな取り組みがあるなんて！」
と、多くの方が足を止めてくださり、温かい応援や貴重なアドバイスをいただきました。
直接お話しできたことで、私たちの想いが“人から人へ”伝わっていく瞬間を感じられた、忘れられない一日となりました。
🧡 さいごに
このホームカミングデーでの出会いが、名古屋大学を想う人たちをつなぐ新たな一歩になったと感じます。
これからもTシャツを通じて、「名大っていいな」と感じてもらえる機会を少しずつ広げていきたいと思います。

Connecting Generations of Meidai — Sharing Pride and Connection at Homecoming Day

Hi, I’m Miko Komatsu from the Meidai LinkT Project.
On October 18th, we took part in Nagoya University’s Homecoming Day — a special annual event where alumni return to campus to reconnect, attend talks, enjoy concerts at Toyota Auditorium, and celebrate shared memories of Nagoya University.
👕 Our Activity
Amid the lively atmosphere, our team stood near the station, proudly holding up our T-shirts and introducing the project to alumni and students passing by.
Many stopped to chat, offering kind words and insightful advice such as:
“I didn’t know such a project existed — that’s amazing!”
“I love that students are leading this initiative!”
Through these direct conversations, we truly felt our message — pride and connection through T-shirts — being passed from person to person.
🧡 In Closing
This day reminded us how powerful Meidai’s sense of community can be.
We hope our project continues to create more moments where people can say, “I’m proud to be part of Nagoya University.”

タキヒヨー株式会社と、サステナブルを学ぶ勉強会を実施しました！

こんにちは！名古屋大学Meidai LinkT Project の小松美子です。
8月27日、Tシャツ製作でご一緒しているタキヒヨー株式会社さんとの勉強会を実施しました。
実際に現場で活躍されている方々から直接お話を伺うことができ、私たちにとってとても刺激的で学びの多い時間となりました。

💡タキヒヨー株式会社とは？
名古屋に本社を置く歴史ある繊維商社で、生地の開発からアパレル製品の企画・生産・販売まで幅広く手がけており、国内外で活躍されています。
今回のTシャツ製作でも、デザイン段階から一緒に考えてくださる心強いパートナーです。
「ただ服を作る」のではなく、「サステナブルな未来をつくる」姿勢がとても印象的でした。

🎓勉強会で学んだ３つのこと
1️⃣サステナブルは企業の“成長エンジン”
社会貢献にとどまらず、企業の競争力の源泉となる新しい成長の基盤であること。
2️⃣ 「モノづくりの責任」を果たす姿勢
サプライチェーン全体を見渡しながら「責任を持って届ける」ことの重要性。
3️⃣ サステナブルを日常に取り入れる工夫
デザイン性・ファッション性を保ちながら、サステナブルを“自然に”生活に溶け込ませる。

🌱これからに向けて
この学びを、私たちのTシャツに込めていきます。
単なる服ではなく、「身につけることで誇りやつながりを感じられる一枚」を目指して。
この経験を通じて、私たち自身も「サステナブルの担い手」として成長できたと感じています。

We held a sustainability learning session with Takihyo Corporation!

Hello! I’m Miko Komatsu from the Meidai LinkT Project at Nagoya University.
On August 27, we held a study session with Takihyo Corporation, our partner company supporting the production of our project T-shirts.　It was an inspiring and insightful experience to learn directly from professionals working on the front lines of the textile and apparel industry.

Headquartered in Nagoya, Takihyo is a long-established textile trading company engaged in everything from fabric development to apparel design, production, and sales, both in Japan and overseas.
They are not only helping us bring our T-shirt design to life but are also a strong partner who shares our commitment to "sustainability".

It’s not just corporate social responsibility—it’s a new foundation for business growth and competitiveness.
2️⃣ Responsible Manufacturing
True “monozukuri” means taking responsibility across the entire supply chain—from materials to delivery.

Sustainability should be seamlessly integrated into daily life, without sacrificing style or creativity.

🌱Looking Ahead
This session inspired us to give our T-shirts a meaning that goes beyond fashion—to create a piece that embodies pride and connection for everyone who wears it. Through this experience, we also felt that we’ve grown as young changemakers contributing to a more sustainable future.

メンバーの中村が名古屋大学同窓会シンガポール支部設立総会にて登壇し、MLTについて紹介させていただきました。
多くの先輩方から温かい応援の言葉をいただき、名大を軸としたつながりの大きさを改めて感じる貴重な機会となりました！

学生団体どうしのつながりから生まれる、名大の“誇り”と“一体感”

こんにちは！Meidai LinkT Projectメンバーの村瀬です。

先日、名古屋大学のよさこいサークル「名古屋大学快踊乱舞（通称：らんま）」さんを訪問し、Tシャツプロジェクトのご紹介とリール動画の撮影を行いました。

👕 T-shirts × Yosakoi = Team Spirit

らんまでは、練習時におそろいのTシャツを着る文化が根付いており、私たちの「Tシャツを通じて名大のつながりを表現する」という想いにも共感していただきました。

「ぜひ応援させてください！」という温かいお言葉もいただき、名大生どうしのつながりの力を改めて感じました。

Celebrating Connection and Team Spirit — Linking Student Circles through “Pride in Meidai”

Hi, I’m Natsuki Murase from the Meidai LinkT Project.

We recently visited Nagoya University KAIODANBU (“Ranma”), the university’s vibrant Yosakoi dance team, to introduce our T-shirt project and film a short reel video together.

At Ranma, members have a long-standing tradition of wearing matching T-shirts during practices — a culture that deeply resonates with our project’s mission to express connection and pride in Nagoya University through design.

We were touched by their warm encouragement and their words: “We’d love to support your project!”

LinkTの輪を広げる第一歩。試作品Tシャツ、完成！

Meidai LinkT Project メンバーの杉山です。
先日、私たちはプロジェクト活動の一環として、試作品Tシャツ15枚の印刷を行いました。
名古屋大学構内にある「IdeaStoa」という施設で、ガーメントプリンターを使って1枚ずつ丁寧に印刷。印刷も機械操作も初めてで緊張の連続でしたが、スタッフの方にアドバイスをいただきながら約3時間かけて無事に完成させることができました。

完成した15枚のうち6枚はシンガポールでの利用のため、残り9枚は展示・試着用として活用予定です。この試作品をきっかけに、より多くの人にTシャツを通した「つながり」や「誇り」を感じてもらえると嬉しいです。

そして、この輪をさらに広げていけるよう、これからも活動を続けていきます！

The First Step to Expanding the LinkT Circle — Prototype T-shirts Completed!

I’m Kanae Sugiyama, a member of the Meidai LinkT Project.
As part of our project activities, we recently printed 15 prototype T-shirts using the garment printer at ”IdeaStoa”, a creative lab located on Nagoya University’s campus.

It was my first time operating such a machine and printing T-shirts, so I was quite nervous (especially during the heat-press step!), but with guidance from the IdeaStoa staff, I managed to complete all 15 shirts safely after about three hours.

Of the 15 shirts, six have been sent to Singapore, our official project partner, and the remaining nine will be used for exhibitions and fitting sessions.

We hope many people will have a chance to see and touch these prototypes, and feel the sense of "connection" and "pride" that we wish to convey through the T-shirts.

We’re excited to continue expanding the LinkT circle even further!

Starting today, September 1st, the Meidai LinkT Project crowdfunding campaign is live!

🌟 What is this crowdfunding for? 🌟
We are raising funds through donations. As a return gift, we will offer T-shirts, and with the funds we gather, we will also produce special Nagoya University T-shirts to distribute among the Nagoya University community.

By making this campaign a success, we hope to share
“T-shirts that nurture pride and attachment to Nagoya University”
with as many people as possible!
