By integrating artificial intelligence (AI), wearable sensing, photonics, and IoT technologies, the laboratory develops innovative medical systems for disease detection, health monitoring, and digital healthcare.


A major research focus is the development of self-powered wearable healthcare systems that combine biofuel cells with AI-driven motion analysis for the early detection of osteoarthritis. The laboratory also conducts research in clinical AI, medical image informatics, smart medical systems, and AI-based surgical skill assessment, using muscle electrical signals, gaze analysis, and intelligent sensing technologies to support objective evaluation and digital transformation in healthcare.
