Welcome Lunch in Nagoya for NOC Nagoya Students

On 3 February 2024, a Welcome Lunch was held at Gran Piatto Yamatedori, located near Nagoya University, to celebrate the arrival of two NUS PhD students who had begun their internships at Nagoya University–affiliated startups through the NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) Nagoya programme.

A vibrant group of 10 participants joined the gathering, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Attendees included students from Nagoya University, such as G30 Singaporean students, NUS Summer School alumni, and participants from the Tongali programme. The lunch also welcomed a student from Meijo University, an alumnus of the NUS Summer School, as well as a student from Nagoya Institute of Technology who participates in the Tongali programme. In addition, a staff member from Mihama Town joined the event, further enriching the exchange with perspectives from the local community.

The Welcome Lunch provided a valuable opportunity to build connections across universities, cultures, and communities, reflecting the collaborative spirit at the heart of the NOC Nagoya programme.
