Nagoya University Singapore Community Celebrates Lunar New Year Together with Singapore Aichi Prefectural Association

On 31 January 2024, The 49th Singapore Aichi Prefectural Association New Year gathering was held at Hands in Hands, a Chinese restaurant in Boat Quay, featuring attendees from various sectors related to Aichi Prefecture. Twelve members from the Nagoya University Singapore Community participated in the event, celebrating the Lunar New Year together.

In November 2023, Nagoya University established the Nagoya University Global Campus Ltd. in Singapore, becoming the first national university in Japan to set up a Center for Strategic Partnership in the region. This initiative aims to foster innovation, research, and education across Southeast Asia in collaboration with the National University of Singapore.

Looking ahead, the Nagoya University Singapore Community anticipates growth in membership and is planning to establish an official branch of the Nagoya University Alumni Association (NUAL) in Singapore in the near future.
