Nagoya University Global Campus (Singapore) Joins 124th International Exchange Meeting of the Chubu Singapore Association

Nagoya University Global Campus (Singapore) was honored to participate in the 124th International Exchange Meeting of the Chubu Singapore Association, held at Espacio Nagoya Castle on 4 August 2026, commemorating the 60th anniversary of Singapore–Japan diplomatic relations (SJ60).

The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Eng Chuan Ong, Ambassador of Singapore to Japan. Representing Nagoya University were President Prof. Naoshi Sugiyama, Vice President Prof. Yoshiyuki Suto, and Prof. Hiroshi Imaizumi. Ms. Sharon Goh from the National University of Singapore (NUS) also joined the gathering.

In his remarks, President Prof. Naoshi Sugiyama highlighted one of Nagoya University’s missions: creating more opportunities to connect companies in the Chubu (Central Japan) region with Singapore. Through these connections, companies can gain first-hand exposure to Singapore’s dynamic business environment, growing startup ecosystem, and strong connectivity across Asia.

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for representatives from the Chubu region and Singapore to strengthen existing relationships and explore new opportunities for collaboration across business, academia, and innovation.

Nagoya University Global Campus (Singapore) looks forward to continuing to build stronger bridges between Chubu and Singapore and contributing to deeper connections between the two regions.
