📢 Invitation to the General Meeting and Reception for the Establishment of the Nagoya University Alumni Association Singapore Branch

 Dear Nagoya University Alumni,

To commemorate the establishment of the Nagoya University Alumni Association Singapore Branch, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a General Meeting and Reception. We are honored to welcome Professor Naoshi Sugiyama, President of Nagoya University, and Professor Shogo Kimura, Vice President of Nagoya University and Representative Secretary of the University-wide Alumni Association, as distinguished guests.

Currently, Nagoya University is expanding its campus presence in Singapore and accelerating collaborative efforts, including its partnership with the National University of Singapore (NUS). As Singapore continues to serve as a hub in Asia, Nagoya University is strengthening its role as a key player connecting the Chubu region with Southeast Asia. In this context, the connections among alumni are becoming more important than ever.

Numerous events have been held in Singapore, such as The kick off establishment of Singapore Alumni Association - Nagoya University Alumni Rally Event in October last year and the The Central Japan Innovation Night (please see photos below). This event will serve as a valuable opportunity for Nagoya University alumni and affiliates connected with Singapore to come together, connect across industries and generations, and build strong networks. We hope that exchanging your experiences and insights will foster new collaborations and generate added value.

In conjunction with the establishment of the Singapore branch, we are also launching the “NU Singapore Co-Creation Project Fund.” Details will be announced on the university’s fund website once preparations are complete.

We aim to further enhance Nagoya University’s global brand through the establishment of this alumni chapter. We sincerely ask for your participation and support in making this vision a reality.

 【名古屋大学全学同窓会シンガポール支部 設立記念総会およびレセプション開催のご案内】

名古屋大学の同窓生の皆さまへ

このたび、名古屋大学全学同窓会シンガポール支部の設立を記念し、総会およびレセプションを開催する運びとなりました。名古屋大学総長杉山直先生、名古屋大学副総長（全学同窓会代表幹事）木村彰吾先生がご出席されます。

現在、名古屋大学はシンガポールへのキャンパス設置を展開しており、シンガポール国立大学（NUS）とのパートナーシップをはじめとする連携が加速しています。アジアのハブであるシンガポールにおいて、名古屋大学は中部地域と東南アジアを結ぶ重要なプレイヤーとしての存在感を強めており、同窓生の皆さまのつながりがこれまで以上に重要になっています。

シンガポールでは、数多くイベント開催され（昨年10月シンガポール同窓会支部決起集会や中部イノベーションナイト開催 - 下記写真参照ください）、本会はシンガポールに縁のある名古屋大学同窓生・関係者が集い、業界や世代を超えて交流・連携し、ネットワークを築く貴重な機会です。皆さまのご経験や知見が交わることで、新たな協力や価値が生まれることを願っております。

また、本支部の設立にあわせて「特定基金NUシンガポール共創事業」の立ち上げを進めており、準備が整い次第、大学の基金ウェブサイトにて広報を開始する予定です。

この同窓会支部を基盤として、名古屋大学の国際的なブランド力を一層高めていく活動を進めてまいります。その実現のために、同窓生の皆さまのご参加とご支援を心よりお願い申し上げます。
