From Singapore to Nagoya: Prof. Maki Nakajima Joins Nagoya University

In August 2026, Prof. Maki Nakajima joined Nagoya University as a Designated Associate Professor under the Asian Satellite Campuses Institute Program.

Prior to joining Nagoya University, Prof. Nakajima was affiliated with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where her research focused on development economics. Her move from Singapore to Nagoya represents another example of the growing academic connections between the two cities.

During his recent visit to Nagoya, Prof. Hiroshi Imaizumi, Director of Nagoya University Global Campus (Singapore), had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Nakajima to Nagoya University's Higashiyama Campus.
