Celebration of the Establishment of the Singapore Nagoya University Community

On 10 June 2023, The Nagoya University Singapore Community celebrated its establishment in conjunction with the Nagoya University Festival at Ma Maison restaurant in Takashimaya, Singapore, whose main branch is located near the Higashiyama campus of Nagoya University, Japan.

This gathering brought together six members from investment funds, startups, Japanese expatriates, and Nagoya University faculty, all proudly donning Nagoya University happi coats and T-shirts while enjoying the university's specialty, "Meidai Manju."

Nagoya University is committed to enhancing international student exchanges between Singapore and Japan and has initiated support for Asian ventures and overseas expansion originating from the university. Notably, the university participated in Asia Tech x Singapore 2023, held from June 7 to 9, marking the first time a Japanese university exhibited at this event.

The founding members expressed their determination to collaborate towards establishing a Nagoya University alumni association branch in Singapore, anticipating future growth for the community.
