Ambassador of Singapore Visits Nagoya University , Interacts with Singaporean Students

Nagoya, Japan – On 7 August 2024, H.E. Mr. Eng Chuan Ong, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Japan, and his wife, Mrs. Esther Ong, visited Nagoya University at the invitation of the Chubu Singapore Association. The visit was organized by Professor Hiroshi Imaizumi, Director of The Nagoya University Global Campus (NUGC) and a member of the association.

During the meeting, the Ambassador engaged with Nagoya University President Naoshi Sugiyama and other university representatives, receiving an introduction to the university and discussing potential future exchange opportunities. Multiple students from Singapore also participated, engaging in a lively conversation with the ambassador. Following these discussions, the ambassador toured the campus, with a particular focus on the Faculty of Engineering.
