📢 Call for Applications: Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) 2026 at NUS

The National University of Singapore (NUS) will host the Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) in July.
The Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) is a summer program that brings together promising young student leaders from across Asia. It aims to provide a valuable platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and promoting action for regional communities.
This year’s theme is “Communities in Action.”
Sub-themes include:
🔸Sustainability and Innovation
🔸Heritage and Culture
🔸Inclusivity and Resilience
Program Highlights
🔸An in-person summer program hosted by NUS College, National University of Singapore
🔸Around 300 students from across Asia will participate
🔸Participants will explore challenges facing the Asian region from multiple perspectives under the theme “Communities in Action”
🔸Learning opportunities based on the I-4 Model (Inspire / Ideate / Intercultural / Implement)

Program Overview
🔹Eligibility:Undergraduate students currently enrolled at Nagoya University
(Must not have graduated by July 18, 2026)
🔹Number of Participants:6 students
(All applicants will be interviewed online on March 25)
🔹Program Period:July 3 – July 18, 2026
(Return to Chubu Centrair International Airport on the morning of July 19)
※ The official AUS program runs from July 5–18, but July 3–4 will include a special Nagoya University program.
🔹Participation Fee:Approximately JPY 130,000
Includes: Round-trip airfare, Local transportation in Singapore, Visa, Travel insurance, Accommodation for July 3–5, Some meals
※ AUS program fees, accommodation, and meals and meals (partially self-funded) are waived.
※ Costs may change depending on political or economic conditions.
🔹Scholarship:JASSO scholarship may be available (JPY 110,000)
※ Subject to academic requirements
Program Activities
⚙️ Inspire: Lectures by experts and input sessions on regional challenges
⚙️ Ideate: Group workshops and discussions to generate ideas
⚙️ Intercultural: Cultural exchange events, field trips, and collaborative activities with NUS students
⚙️ Implement: Final project development and group presentations
In addition, participants will engage in networking and exchange with students from across Asia throughout the program.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
🔸 Be an undergraduate student as of July 18, 2026
🔸 Have never participated in AUS before (repeat participation is not allowed)
🔸 Be able to attend all sessions and events in person in Singapore
🔸 Attend the orientation for selected participants on April 13 at Higashiyama-campus, Nagoya University

シンガポール国立大学 (NUS) では、7月にAsian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) を開催します。
AUSは、アジア各国から将来有望な若手リーダーを集め、ネットワーキング、知識共有、そして地域社会へのアクションを推進するための貴重なプラットフォームを提供することを目的としたサマープログラムです。
今年のテーマは「Communities in Action」でサブテーマとして「持続可能性とイノベーション」「文化と伝統」「包摂性とレジリエンス」が掲げられています。
